Working Mechanism:

It works by using pilot valve to sense downstream pressure. When there is an increase in downstream pressure beyond setpoint, the pilot valve modulate, and this in turn control main valve. This enable valve to open or shut down as necessary, restricting the fluid flow when necessary to maintain pressure at level setting.
